SFL League Championship February 10, 2018

Today’s Nevada Union hosted the SFL League Championship and we have some great news we have for Varsity 3rd Place Robert Jeanson and Landon Low, 5th Place Bailey Ferrier along with Cody Hardin, and in 6th Place Cayden Rutherford, Vince Rains.

For our Junior Varsity we have Arion Sharp and Brayden – 3rd Place, Arik Smart, Elijah Lake- 4th Place, Logan Schwartz, Sam Slay- 5th Place.

Robert Jeanson, Bailey Ferrier, Landon Low, and Cody Hardin each qualified for the Divisional Tournament next weekend at Folsom High School! Cayden Rutherford and Vince Rains will be alternates in their respective weight classes and could possibly earn entry to the tournament early next week.

Nevada Union Wrestling hosting SFL League

On Saturday February 10, 2018 Nevada Union High School is hosting it SFL League Wrestling tournament. There will be a total of 7 different schools joining us. The school that will e joining us are Folsom, Oak Ridge, Granite Bay, Rocklin, Del Oro, WoodCreek. It’s a Varsity and JV boys tournament. Wrestling weigh ins start at 7 am and Wrestling starts at 9am.

NU Wrestling Girls at Regionals Feb. 2-3 2018

NU Girls wrestling took 9th as a team, (out of more than 70!), and has 4 medalists advancing to the Masters Tournament in 2 weeks! Senior captain Arleth Sosa was a finalist, and Sophomore captain Sarah Skotnicki took 6th place in what could be argued to be the toughest weight-class at the tournament. First year wrestlers Amanda Beall (4th place) and MacKenzie Morgan (8th place) have been making huge progress lately and qualified as freshmen!
